Consumer prices up 1.1%, both imports and exports down in December 2016
The Statistical Institute of Belize today published its latest statistics on prices and external trade for the country of Belize.
CONSUMER PRICES: During the month of December 2016, consumer prices increased, on average, by 1.1 percent. The All-Items Consumer Price Index stood at 104.0, up from 102.9 recorded for last December. For 2016, an inflation rate of 0.7 percent was recorded. The ‘Transport’ index remains a major contributor to the overall rise in consumer prices, recording a 9.9 percent increase in comparison to December of 2015. Fuel prices rose by 15.5 percent in comparison to December 2015. Here you can also find the latest publications.
